This book was the only thing that saved me. My last relationship left me completely broken and confused. No one understood what i was going through. Samantha did tho. Her words gave me hope that i will heal and move on. Thank you so much Samantha. I owe you so much. This book means everything to me.

First of all, the book arrived fairly quickly and on time. It's a quick read, yet I took my time to read it so I could really savor and enjoy everything this book had to offer. These poems were obviously written from experience and I could relate to almost every single one. Samantha King is a very good writer. Highly recommend this!

I really liked this book of poetry. I love having it in my collection. I would purchase again.I went through a very very difficult betrayal by my husband(now ex), heartbreak, divorce.This was a powerful book during that chapter of my life.Just be warned.. there are *some* moments that some people might describe as "erotic" or "sexually explicit"....That didn't bother me, because that comes with love, emotion, humanity, heartbreak... sex is part of being human. ...but it might bother others. So heads up.

When you read a book that has such an impact on you and changes your life for the better, this is one of those reads. You can feel so lonely in your thoughts, but every heavy thing that has ever crossed your mind I guarantee you is in here- and I found a lot of conformt in that. This book is one that I will forever cherish and keep going back to. I don't think I've cried so much, not because I was sad, but relieved. Very therapeutic

This is the type of book that needs to be hyped up! When I read the first page I was already getting emotional because it described me so perfectly. I have so many favorite poems within this book and man they're worth reading. I'm not even finished with the whole book and I already love it.

Had to pause several times while reading this book and spread it out over a few days because it was so powerful. King's vulnerability and raw use of language and imagery makes you feel the experiences of pain and trauma from a first person perspective, that can be helpful for those who may not have experienced the situations or feelings she is describing, or if you have, make you feel and know that you are not alone in your experiences.

This collection of poems is about love, being abandoned and all the troubles of love teenage girls often seem to have. This poem does seem more like journal entries or a diary of a girl. Some good stuff; otherwise, short and somewhat, these relation to love seems cliche. At least to me it did. There wasn’t really a meter, or rhythm. Other than that this was okay.

This book is every bit of emotional seduction. If you are a woman this is an absolute must have. The poems literally speak to you and enlighten every area of your emotional process. My only regret is that I didn’t buy this book sooner! I’m so glad to know that an author such as Samantha exists, the book is changing my life in more ways than I can express. If you don’t have this book you need it and if you don’t need it you’ll wish you had it!

Jason A. Spencer-Edwards

I was born on July 23, 1971 in London, England to Jamaican born parents. I moved to New York City at the age of nine and have resided in Laurelton, Queens for twenty-one years.

As I child I was extremely outspoken and many people convinced me that law was the profession I was best suited for.

I never imagined my love for the written word would move me in another direction several years later. At the age of twelve writing poems was my favorite hobby and night after night I wrote in my room.

Pursuing my law dream, I graduated York College (Queens) with my Bachelors in Political Science. I took a temporary paralegal job in a vast law firm in New York City and after witnessing law in a wider scope, I decided going to law school wasn’t what I ultimately wanted.

I felt I needed to be more creative as I was in my poems, creating different environments with a thought, pen and a piece of paper.

I continued writing poems and after several to my fiancé she suggested that I write a book. That ignited a fire that I didn’t even know existed and I finished my first book JIGGY in a month.

I didn’t go through normal channels as I self-published my book with my savings from temping. My companies motto is "Publishing book that make a difference." I have always revered the power of the written word and one of my poems states this:

Do words have mystical powers?
Or is it the person who utters them
Those twenty-six letters are fearless
When put together in different combinations
Attach some feelings and emotions the result
Is stronger than a tornado or hurricane
They can cut through people or open hearts

WORDS, WORDS, WORDS

Be careful how you use them the power they behold can be to overwhelming to the average user
